How to setup RS485 MODBUS on a Trolex AirXD

1. Introduction

The following guide is to support the setup of the TX8005 AirXD for MODBUS RS485. To setup a Trolex AirXD for RS485 MODBUS, please set the devices baud rate, device address and communications parity as shown below.

2. Set Baud Rate

The AIR XD has configurable MODBUS baud rates that can be configured by going to Settings -> Communications -> RS485/MODBUS -> Set Baud Rate as shown below:

The AirXD instrument baud rate can be selected and assigned from a pre-configured list of options:

4800
9600
14400
19200
38400
57600
115200 (Default)

3. Set Device Address

The AIR XD instrument address is user selectable and can be configured between 001 and 255. To se the device address goto Settings -> Communications -> RS485/MODBUS -> Set MODBUS Address as show below:

4. Set Communications Parity

The AIR XD instrument parity bit can be selected and assigned from a pre-configured list of options. To set the communications parity, goto Settings -> Communications -> RS485/MODBUS -> Set Parity as show below:
