How to configure an AirXD device in Breathe

To configure a device once it has been added to the app, please follow the steps below:


1. Click on the device to be configured in the Devices section.


2. The About section will now be populated as shown below:


3. Here you can change the Name of the device and also how the device connects to the computer by altering the Protocol. To view how to setup a connection to the device please see below:


4. The next step is to configure the devices location. Click on the Location tab and enter the devices, location name, latitude and longitude as shown below:


5. To have a device send out email alerts when capturing live data, please check the Send Email Alerts check box and then enter an email address for where the alerts should be sent to.


6. Once the details have been entered correctly click on the Actions button and click on Save as shown below:


Connect to an AirXD

There are two ways to connect to an AirXD device by using a USB cable or using an Ethernet connection. Please follow the steps below:


USB

1. Firstly connect the USB cable to the computer.


2. In the About section click on the Protocol drop down box and select Serial as shown below:


3. The next step is to select the com port the device is connected to. Click on the COM Ports drop down box and select the correct com port.


4. After the com port has been selected the next step is to select the correct baud rate settings for the device. Click on the Baud Rate drop down bow and select the correct baud rate. By default, this is set to 115200 on the AirXD device.


5. The penultimate step is to configure the parity settings for the device. Click on the Parity drop down box and select the correct parity. By default, this is set to Even on the AirXD device.


6. The last configuration step is to set Modbus Address. Click on the Modbus Address textbox and type in the Modbus address of the device. By default, this is set to 1 on the AirXD device.


7. Once the connection details have been entered correctly, click on the Actions button and select Save as shown below:



Ethernet

1. Firstly connect the Ethernet cable to the AirXD device.


2. In the About section click on the Protocol drop down box and select Ethernet as shown below:


3. The next step is to enter in the IP address of the AirXD device. To do this click on the IP Address textbox and type in the IP address of the device.


4. After entering the IP address of the device, the next step is to enter the Port number. To do this click on the Port textbox and type in the port number. By default, this is set to port 502 on the AirXD device.


5. The last configuration step is to enter the Modbus address. To do this click on the Modbus Address textbox and type in the devices Modbus address. By default, this is set to 1 on the AirXD device.


6. Once the connection details have been entered correctly, click on the Actions button and select Save as shown below:
