How to clean the Trolex XD1+

Modified on Wed, 31 Jan at 2:53 PM

As part of the routine maintenance schedule and during use in high dust loaded environments, it is recommended that the XD1+ sensor is cleaned from time to time following the steps below:

1. Wipe down the XD1+ inlet surfaces with a damp cloth to remove any external dust and debris.

2. Using canned compressed clean air, spray the device inlet for 10 to 15 seconds to clean the dust path.

3. It is recommended to periodically clean the instrument with a damp cloth, to ensure the instrument user interface and keypad is clean and legible.

4. The particulate exit aperture is protected by a stainless-steel grille to minimise the ingress of flora and fauna into the XD1+ device. It is recommended that the grille is checked and cleaned during maintenance periods to ensure that it has not become clogged with ingress that may obscure the particulate sensing airflow.
